About me
I offer high-impact interim leadership, consultancy, mentoring, and training services tailored specifically for social change organisations and their leaders.
With extensive experience as a CEO and senior leader across both the voluntary and public sectors, I bring deep expertise in strategic planning, organisational development, crisis leadership, and influencing work.
My consulting philosophy is grounded in collaboration, justice, empathy, and courageous organisational change.
Who am I?
I'm an experienced CEO and senior leader based in North East England, available for local, remote, and hybrid work across the UK.
I’ve led significant periods of transformation and change in a range of social change organisations—from local service delivery bodies to national campaigning and infrastructure organisations. These include the Law Centres Network, Rape Crisis England & Wales, and National Parks England, working across a wide range of social justice issues.
Previous clients include:
Newcastle United Foundation, The Alnwick Garden, Ealing Law Centre, Merseyside Law Centre, and the Legal Aid Practitioners Group.
I bring cross-sector experience, having led organisations that combine direct service delivery with policy and influencing work.

Interim Leader
I offer interim or part time senior leadership support as an experienced and highly respected charity leader. I am based in North East England and I am keen to take on local roles, but will also consider remote or hybrid roles elsewhere in the UK.
You might consider interim leadership if you are navigating transition, facing an executive leadership gap or looking for crisis recovery support. With a strong track record as CEO and senior leader across the voluntary and public sectors, I provide stabilising, strategic leadership grounded in feminist, anti-oppressive, and person-centred practice.
My approach combines hands-on operational management with compassionate, collaborative team leadership—supporting organisations to maintain momentum, rebuild trust, and lay the groundwork for long-term success.
I bring calm authority, deep sector insight, and a commitment to social justice and I am keen to enable organisations to not only navigate change but emerge stronger from it.
An interim role will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation during this period, ensuring stability, continuity, and clear direction.

Collaborator
Are you a leader* of an organisation needing some additional support or leadership mentoring?
My Collaborator package is for leaders in social change organisations who need an extra pair of hands, someone to talk through knotty issues or help refine a plan or strategy. This isn’t coaching (although I always work from a perspective of empowerment and building your confidence and skills), and neither is it consultancy (I won’t complete a piece of work or report for you) this is more about having someone who can work through some of the practical challenges with you as a collaborator over a period of time.
I offer packages of support in hourly intervals – want someone to meet with online each week or fortnight through a period of transition or crisis? Chat to me and see if I can help.
*This service is also available to chairs of charities that are going through periods of transition.

Do you need help with a particular piece of work relating to your organisational design or strategy?
I take on consultancy work with individual organisations including:

I prefer to work with rather than for an organisation – I won’t go away and do this work for you in isolation, I expect to work alongside your team to deliver this together, supporting the co-creation of strategy and plans.
